The GenderAvenger Community Did a Lot Together In 2020, and We're Proud of All of You

We did a lot together this year. Despite COVID-19 and all the new pressures and losses of family and work during this time, and even the occasional gains, our GenderAvenger community remained strong and steadfast. We kept counting (you’ve got the GA Tally app, right?), we called out organizations that fell short of their potential, and we cheered on the women and men who made sure women’s voices were present in the rooms, on panels and lists, and at the table. Together, we took deeper dives, we celebrated Avengers, we took action, and we commended gender balance where it happened in public dialog, because the needle that measures how much we value women’s voices in practice still needs moving, and year over year we’re seeing attitudes shift.

Thank you to every one of you who read our incredible guest writers, gave us heads-ups about good and bad gender balances, and helped spread the word to embed the seed that women’s voices not only count by the numbers but are vital for the health and wealth of our communities, businesses, and organizations. You make our work possible, and we’re proud to work alongside you.
