Now that the 2020 election is over, almost everyone is wondering what happens now. What will the new administration mean not only for our country but also for our local communities? Beginning tomorrow, the Council on Foundations will examine just that at their 2020 Public Policy Summit, November 12–14: “leaders from across the country will come together to learn from peers, top policy experts and government officials on how to address the sector’s most pressing policy issues.” A group of 36 speakers will lead discussions on how communities and philanthropists will respond to the question of advancing equity in public policy.

We are pleased to see that the gender split of these 36 speakers is 50% men and 50% women, 39% of whom are women of color, earning the Public Policy Summit a Bronze GA Stamp of Approval! It’s good to know that the people leading conversations on public policy more accurately represents the diversity of that public. Thank you, Council on Foundations, for assembling  a top notch gender-balanced speaker list.

Congratulate the Council on Foundations!

🥉 Congratulations to @COF_ on their Bronze @GenderAvenger Stamp of Approval! They earned it with a 2020 Public Policy Summit speaker list that represents the diversity of the very public affected by the policies they’re discussing. #GenderAvenger https://www.genderavenger.com/blog/council-on-foundations-public-policy-summit-wins-bronze
