#HallofFame | Change Is Possible: New York Times Cities for Tomorrow 2016!

SUCCESS! After two years of featuring The New York Times Cities for Tomorrow in the GenderAvenger Hall of Shame, we’re happy to see that the 2016 lineup qualifies for the Hall of Fame!

Cities for Tomorrow brings together “the world’s foremost thinkers, policymakers, developers, entrepreneurs, industry stars and others at Cities for Tomorrow, the must-attend event for leaders who are shaping the urban environments of the future.” Our mission is to make it the norm for women to be recognized equally with men as some of “the world’s foremost” experts. For now, we celebrate those who hit the mark event by event. We’ve criticized them before, but this year The New York Times Cities for Tomorrow features 43% women speakers. Your voice helped make this happen.

Now, tell @NYTimes we noticed and encourage them to keep up the good work as they add more speakers!

Kudos on #HallofFame lineup so far at @NYTimes Cities for Tomorrow! Keep up the good work: http://www.genderavenger.com/blog/halloffame-change-is-possible-new-york-times-cities-for-tomorrow #genderavenger
