📣🚨 Action Alert | When Washington Post Live's Gender Balance Is Bad, It's Really Bad

We have been keeping tabs on Washington Post Live since last year, and, sadly, it’s been a mixed bag. Some weekly lineups have been worthy of a Gold GA Stamp of Approval, and others have been bad… really bad.

This week, we bring you the latter: August 2-6, there are 10 men, one woman, and one woman of color. The two women will each be featured alongside men, not on their own as individual speakers as some men are. That’s some pretty poor gender balance in our book. We know that WaPo features women speakers; however, when you see a lineup like this in your inbox, it’s hard not to notice, especially when there is no shortage of women experts who can speak about topics like vaccines and variants, the U.S. economy, and digital innovation. So, where are the women, Washington Post?

📣🚨 Let’s see some more women in these weekly lineups, @PostLive. You’ve proven you can curate gender equal programming in the past, so we know you can do it again, and keep doing it! #WaPoLive #GenderAvenger https://www.genderavenger.com/blog/action-alert-washington-post-live-falls-down-on-the-job-again
